Reid: They probably didn’t have an answer because TEI wasn’t around to have that discussion on why E85 might be a direction to wait on and go with E30 now.

Eichberger: There’s always situations where advocates want to one‑up each other. That may have been part of the problem.

Reid: Thanks again, John. You provide a lot of information, not just reports but blogs, podcasts, webcasts, webinars. Tell us about the information you provide and how someone interested in becoming a TEI partner or member can do that.

Eichberger: We do a blog, video webcasts, video segments, white papers, full research papers. We have about 15 papers in development. We have committees and councils focused on renewable fuels, policy, carbon, medium heavy‑duty vehicles, global activities, Canada, electric vehicles. Many ways for the industry to come together on topics of mutual interest and help guide research. We identify areas where additional information is needed, then bring that information to market and see how it affects discussion. We’re not trying to affect outcomes. We want to inform discussion.

If anyone wants to get involved, go to transportationenergy.org and see what we’re doing. Reach out to me, Liz, or Margie. We’ll talk and figure out what makes sense. There are different ways and levels to get involved. We want to match your interest to what we offer and see how we can work together. We’re open to talk to anyone. Even if you’re not looking to join but have ideas, call me. Our goal is research that matters to the market. If we’re not addressing relevant issues, we’re missing the boat. We want to hear what the market needs and see if we can deliver.

Reid: Excellent.
